By now, the majority of people already have their Christmas trees, stockings and lights up –but there is still time to decorate your home even more, in magical and crafty ways, if you so wish. One Christmas decoration choice that you could opt for is that of Christmas garlands. They add a real personal touch to every home, especially when handmade and they don’t cost a fortune to make either!

To make a Christmas garland this is all you’ll need:
- Scissors
- Twine
- Christmas Fabric
Four easy steps:
- Begin by cutting down your fabric into squares that are 10” x 10”, this will make it a more manageable size for you to work with. After this, continue to cut these pieces of fabric into 10” x 1” strips. If the fabric that you have got it smaller than this, don’t worry – other size strips will work fine too i.e. 7” x 1” strips.
- Decide how you would like your garland to look for example – most people choose to use around 4 different fabrics which they then use in either a pattern or clusters that mix them together. Put these into piles to avoid any confusion.
- Start to create the garland by simply tying the strips around the twine, one piece at a time.
- Keep on tying these strips on until you either reach the desired length that you need or you run out of fabric. You can then hang the garland in a place of your choice, using small nails or removal hooks.
The best Christmas fabric
If you are now in the mood to make your very own garland but need to purchase some fabric first – don’t worry, there’s still time.
The holidays are coming and with it time for relaxation, plans for changes and an injection of cash. Getting on the property market before Christmas is so important. Christmas is down time for many and allows the opportunity to review everything that is on the property market.
Millions of people will be reviewing the listings and you have to stand out from the crowd.
By following these three simple tips you are guaranteed to get a boost above all the rest:

Things to think about
- Attractive images sell. It is a known fact that attractive inviting images entice buyers in and sell properties. This can sometimes be difficult with commercial premises as they can be in an unloved derelict state but with a little love and careful thinking that perfect photo can be taken.
- Be clear. When marketing the property it is pointless using complicated wording and focusing on the wrong thing. Talk about the commute, local amenities, car parking anything that will make you stand out.
- Utilise all marketing offered even property brochures. Having something in printed format seems to be a rarity but when it comes to property searching it is still important. A clearly worded and designed document with clear contact details in is so important.
