Make sure you read the following advice before you shop online.

• Search for bargains you might find the same fantastic dress cheaper at another online store.

• Make sure you buy from a secure and trusted website.

• Don’t be fooled by appearances, the company might have an attractive website, but it doesn’t mean it is a secure site.

• Check the companies address, just because the site is “.co.uk” doesn’t mean it is actually based in the UK.

• Make sure you add on the postage and packaging cost to the price of the items you are buying. Is the total cost actually any cheaper than your parking and petrol costs if you were to visit the high street?

• Only shop on a secure website with an encryption facility. (Only shop on a website that has a padlock on the bottom of the screen when you are filling in confidential payment details).

• Make sure the website is a member of an approval scheme to ensure they have high standards.

Be aware; if you don’t trust the site then don’t use it!
